Eye catching eyes with Tear Trough rejuvenation

7 Aug 2018 / Emma Smyth

I personally suffer with volume loss in the area beneath my eyes referred to as Tear Troughs.

The junction this creates between the peri-orbital bone (eye socket) and periocular areas (around the eye, within the orbit) causes facial shadowing commonly associated with tiredness and old age.

Like most people, I was surprised to learn that it often takes as little as 0.3mls of smooth dermal filler to reduce this problem, as demonstrated above.

Using a cannula to minimise trauma, one entry point was made beneath each Tear Trough and Juvederm Volbella placed gently beneath the round muscle used to control the eye, known as Obicularis Oculi. Placing the product beneath this muscle helps it to remain in place in the months to come.

Results are instant, though are at their very best in the weeks after treatment as the product navigates it’s way within the tissues of the skin.

Being a lover of the natural and fresh looking, this treatment gets me every time!
