Desperate to take the plunge with dermal fillers, but afraid that it’s a slippery slope to looking like a shiny, overfilled caricature of your former self? Then you’re not alone! Regardless of age, sex or ethnicity, this seems to be the biggest fear amongst first timers.

One of the points I like to stress during consultation is just how little actual volume I intend to add. Good restoration work is about replacing lost support to important facial structures, such as cheekbones or the jaw line. The more laterally placed the filler (towards the outside of the face) the more natural the result, as our eyes are trained to focus on areas of movement (such as eyes and lips… which is also why good lip enhancements are such an advanced skill).

The above client had progressive treatment over three sessions to include upper face Botox to soften facial lines, 2mls of dermal filler to the cheeks, 1.5mls to the jaw line and 2 mls to the marionette folds and peri oral (around the mouth) area. And hopefully you will all agree she looks quite lovely! #Freshnotfull
